"Rough Guide to the Grotesque" is a multimedia theatre event that will premier at The Living Theatre in New York's Lower East Side. The piece was conceived by Eben Lillie and Nick Lesley, two MFA students of the Performance and Interactive Media Arts program at Brooklyn College of City University of New York.

Inspired by ritual, mythology, and the grotesque, the piece utilizes fantastical costumes, puppetry and light-hearted environmental projections that are created live onstage. The hands of the creators are always visible to produce a humor that refers to the inspiration behind such creatures and ritual acts throughout history. The piece is an amalgam and celebration of varying cultures, which encourages audience participation to foster a spirit of shared ecstacy.
